Finding the Right Vendor to Automate Your Practice

We will help define and identify the right software vendor for your electronic medical records system. Typically we will look at:

1. Certification by CCHIT. Only certified systems will qualify for HITECH Medicare and Medicaid Incentive Payments.

2. Appropriateness for your practice. Do they have clients with your speciality?

3. Financial Stability. How many clients do they have? How long have they been in business?

4. Interoperability. Do they share data with hospital based systems, pharmacies, insurances? If so how, and which ones?

5. In house or hosted service. Do they require servers on site or are they internet based? Do you have the bandwidth to connect with them?

6. Support. How will they support you both remotely and/or on-site?

6. Price. Price is really the cost of ownership over several years. The most expensive system may have the lowest initial price.
